

Pitchers and catchers are less than a week away from reporting to their respective spring training facilities in Arizona and Florida. Less than a month after those players arrive at their respective complexes, more players will head to various locations to take part in the 2026 World Baseball Classic.
The international tournament takes place from March 5-17 and the Seattle Mariners are expected to be one of the more well-represented teams in the WBC.
Here's an overview of the players the Mariners will have compete in the '26 WBC:
This year will be Rodriguez's second time competing for the Dominican Republic in the WBC. He won a bronze medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games with the Dominican Republic in 2021. The Olympics were pushed back a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his debut (2023) in the World Baseball Classic, Rodriguez hit .278 (5-for-18) with a double and three RBIs.
The 2025 American League MVP finalist will compete in his first WBC with Team USA. He was one of the first players announced as a member of the team.
Raleigh is coming off a historic season where he set the MLB single-season record for home runs by a catcher and switch-hitter (60). He went the entire regular season without allowing a passed ball.
Raleigh will have a familiar arm throwing to him on Team USA.
Speier is coming off a career-best season where he posted a 2.61 ERA and struck out 82 batters in 62 innings pitched across 76 appearances. This will be his first time taking part in the WBC.
Naylor will compete for Canada for the second time in the WBC but for his first time as a major league baseball player.
The one-time All-Star competed for his native country in the 2017 WBC as a 19-year-old but declined to compete in the '23 WBC due to an ankle injury. He went 0-for-2 in his limited action in the '17 edition of the international tournament.
In '25, Naylor slashed .299/.341/.490 with an .831 OPS. He hit 10 doubles and nine home runs with 33 RBIs - and went 19-for-19 in stolen base attempts in 54 games after the M's acquired him in a trade with the Arizona Diamondbacks on July 24.
Arozarena will take part in his second WBC with Mexico. In '23, Mexico took home the bronze medal and Arozarena was one of the best players in the WBC.
Arozarena hit .450 (9-for-20) with six doubles and a home run with nine RBIs in six games.
In '25, Arozarena slashed .238/.334/.426 with a .760 OPS and hit 32 doubles, a triple and 27 homers with 76 RBIs in 160 games with Seattle. He stole 31 bases on 37 attempts.
Munoz, the Mariners' closer who was named an All-Star for the second-straight season in '25, will compete for his native Mexico for the first time in the WBC.
The two-time All-Star had a career-best 1.73 ERA in '25 and struck out 83 batters in 62.1 innings pitched across 64 appearances. He saved 38 games in 45 opportunities.
Mastrobuoni, who's coming off his first year in the Pacific Northwest, will compete in his second WBC with Italy.
In '23, Mastrobuoni hit .278 (5-for-18) with two doubles and two RBIs in five games.
With Seattle in '25, Mastrobuoni slashed .250/.324/.296 with a .620 OPS in a career-high 76 games and hit four doubles and a homer with 12 RBIs.
Canzone will compete in his first WBC and is coming off a career-best season with the Mariners.
Canzone slashed .300/.358/.481 with an .839 OPS and hit 11 doubles and 11 home runs with 32 RBIs in 82 games.
One of Seattle's six top 100 prospects (per MLB Pipeline) will represent his native country in the first WBC.
In the qualifiers for the WBC in '25, Arroyo, who served as the team's lead-off hitter, hit .300 (3-for-10) with a double and two RBIs in three games.
Across 121 games with the High-A Everett AquaSox and Double-A Arkansas Travelers in '25, Arroyo slashed .262/.401/.433 with an .834 OPS and hit 24 doubles, a triple and 17 homers with 54 RBIs.
Zuniga is a recent addition to the M's organization. He was signed to a minor league deal Sept. 2, 2025, and received a non-roster invitation to spring training Jan. 30.
Zuniga competed for Colombia in the '23 WBC. He didn't allow a run and led the team in strikeouts with six.
In his last stint in the major leagues in '24, Zuniga had a 5.09 ERA to go with 12 strikeouts in 17.2 innings pitched across 12 appearances for the Los Angeles Angels.
Similar to the other Mariners relievers set to compete in the tournament, Bazardo is coming off a career-best season. He'll represent his native Venezuela for the first time in the WBC.
Bazardo posted a 2.52 ERA and struck out 82 hitters in 78.2 innings pitched across 73 appearances in '25.
The 30-year-old righty served as Seattle's bullpen Swiss army knife throughout the season, being used for multi-inning outings and low-to-high leverage situations.
One of the most recent additions to the Mariners organization won't have a lot of time to familiarize himself with the coaching staff before competing for Korea.
Dunning, who signed a minor league deal with Seattle on Jan. 22, will compete for his first WBC, representing his heritage on his mother's side.
Dunning, a former starter-turned-reliever, had a 6.97 ERA and fanned 21 batters in 20.2 innings pitched across 12 appearances last year with the Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers.
Beilenson is another M's minor leaguer who will take part in the WBC. This will be his first time competing in the tourney.
Beilenson was picked in the fifth round of the '24 MLB Draft out of Duke. This past season, he had a 4.02 ERA across 44 outings with Everett and Arkansas. He struck out 75 hitters in 62.2 innings pitched. He'll be a non-roster invite to this year's spring training.
The 22-year-old went 5-3 with a 3.63 ERA in 35 games at Single-A Modesto and High-A Everett in 2025.
Now 27, Mendoza made 33 appearances for the Brewers' Double-A affiliate in 2025, going 5-3 with a 4.09 ERA. He started six games. He has three career Triple-A appearances.
Just 20 years old, Wilson spent 2025 in the Arizona Complex League, going 1-6 with a 5.47 ERA.
In total, Seattle will have 16 players, ranging from minor leaguers to major leaguers and top 100 prospects, compete in the 2026 WBC. Twelve countries will represented by various Mariners.
