The top representatives of the Mariners farm system have been performing well this season, with some of them even making a push for Seattle.

The Seattle Mariners farm system has been considered one of the best in baseball for years and that was the case again going into this season.

Entering 2026, the Mariners had six top 100 prospects (per MLB Pipeline) from the High-A to Triple-A levels.

In addition to those six top 100 players, Seattle also has two more players who appear on the fringe of being named on the various lists.

Colt Emerson, SS, Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers (No. 5 MLB Pipeline)

The Mariners top minor leaguer and the No. 5 prospect in baseball, shortstop Colt Emerson, seems to be knocking on the door to the major leagues. He was a non-roster invite in spring training.

Emerson missed several games due to a wrist issue and hasn't hit to the level he did in 2025 but has started to pick things back up.

Through 32 games with the Rainiers this season, Emerson has slashed .254/.338/.475 with an .813 OPS and has hit seven doubles, a triple and six home runs with 20 RBIs. He's gone 8-for-19 (.421) with two homers and six RBIs in his last four games.

Kade Anderson, LHP, Double-A Arkansas Travelers (No. 14 MLB Pipeline)

The No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft is currently in the middle of his first minor league season and has been lights out for the Travelers.

Kade Anderson is coming off his third start of the season with eight or more strikeouts.

Through six outings this season, Anderson has a 0.60 ERA and has struck out 47 hitters in 35 innings pitched. He's allowed just one home run on the season, which came in his latest start.

Ryan Sloan, RHP, Double-A Arkansas Travelers (No. 25 MLB Pipeline)

Ryan Sloan is in his second season with the M's organization and first with the Travelers.

Sloan has had a slow start to this season compared to his first in 2025.

The 20-year-old righty has a 5.96 ERA this year and fanned 26 hitters in 22.2 innings pitched across six starts.

Sloan's best outing was his latest one. He fanned six and allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits (one homer) in five innings pitched.

Lazaro Montes, OF, Double-A Arkansas Travelers (No. 34 MLB Pipeline)

Lazaro Montes ended last season with Arkansas and has begun the season back in North Little Rock, Ark., this year.

The 21-year-old slugger has maintained his trademark power but the concern with strikeout numbers have persisted. He's struck out 40 times in 127 plate appearances.

Montes currently has a slash line of .234/.346/.505 with an .851 OPS in 31 games and has hit six doubles, a triple and seven homers with 21 RBIs.

Michael Arroyo, INF/OF, Double-A Arkansas Travelers (No. 55 MLB Pipeline)

Michael Arroyo, who's been one of the most consistent hitters since being signed as an international free agent out of Colombia in 2022, was promoted with Montes to Double-A to close out last season and begun this season with the team.

Similar to Emerson, Arroyo had a slow start to the year but has started to pick it up in recent games. He's slashing .252/.326/.366 with a .692 OPS and has hit five doubles and three homers with 16 RBIs in 31 games.

Arroyo, who's mainly played second base during his time with the Seattle organization, has also gotten looks at left field.

This season with Arkansas, Arroyo has played 17 games at second base, 12 in left field and two at designated hitter.

Arroyo has recorded multiple hits in four of his last five games and five of his last seven. In his last five contests, he's 9-for-22 (.409) with a double and four RBIs.

Jonny Farmelo, OF, High-A Everett AquaSox (No. 65 MLB Pipeline)

Jonny Farmelo has arguably the most physical potential among the top 100 prospects in the organization but has struggled to stay healthy in his time with the Mariners.

The 21-year-old was limited to just 75 games from 2024-25 due to a torn ACL and a stress reaction in his rib.

Farmelo has stayed healthy with the AquaSox this season. In 29 games, he's slashed .237/.367/.412 with a .779 OPS and has hit seven doubles, two triples and three home runs with 11 RBIs. He's recorded multiple hits in three of his last four games and four of his last six.

Other prospects to watch

-- Felnin Celesten, shortstop, High-A Everett AquaSox (No. 7 team prospect per MLB Pipeline)

Felnin Celesten was a player who was on several top 100 lists over the last two years but has fallen off them due to injuries and inconsistencies.

Celesten has kept a clean bill of health this season and is putting together a career-best season as a professional.

In 21 games with Everett this season, Celesten has slashed .330/.421/.500 with a .921 OPS and has hit seven doubles, a triple and three homers with 23 RBIs.

Celesten is currently on a 15-game hit streak.

-- Luke Stevenson, catcher, High-A Everett AquaSox (No. 8 team prospect per MLB Pipeline)

Luke Stevenson was selected out of North Carolina with the 35th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft.

In 23 games with the AquaSox, Stevenson has slashed .291/.462/.506 with a .968 OPS and has hit eight doubles and three home runs with 18 RBIs.
