
The Mariners will be looking to salvage their six-game homestand with a three-game series against the White Sox.
SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners will be looking to bounce back in the second leg of a six-game homestand after being swept in the first leg, which was comprised of a three-game series against the San Diego Padres.
The Mariners will be looking to get back in the "win" column in a three-game series against the Chicago White Sox, who will be in town from May 18-20 at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
It will be the second time in four series that Seattle has faced Chicago. The latter took two games of the prior three-game series between the two American League foes.
Here are the pitching matchups for the series between the M's and the White Sox:
May 18: Bryan Woo (Seattle, 3-2, 3.91 ERA) vs. Noah Schultz (Chicago, 2-2, 4.91 ERA)
Bryan Woo will be beginning the series against Chicago coming off two consecutive quality starts.
Woo struck out nine hitters, walked two and allowed two earned runs on four hits in six innings pitched against the Houston Astros on May 12.
Noah Schultz will be looking to get back on track after allowing a combined 10 earned runs on his last two outings. He fanned three, walked five and allowed three earned runs on two hits in 4.1 innings of work against the Kansas City Royals on May 13.
May 19: Bryce Miller/Luis Castillo (Seattle) vs. Anthony Kay (Chicago, 3-1, 4.61 ERA)
The Mariners will be going with a piggyback situation between starting pitchers Bryce Miller and Luis Castillo.
Seattle is still yet to determine who will get the start between the two.
Miller is coming off his season debut after missing the majority of the season due to a left oblique strain. He struck out three, walked two (one intentionally) and allowed two earned runs on eight hits (one homer) in 5.1 innings pitched against the Astros on May 13.

Anthony Kay is coming off his first quality start of the season. He struck out four, walked two, hit two batters and allowed two earned runs on six hits in six innings against the Royals on May 14.
May 20: Emerson Hancock (Seattle, 3-2, 3.02 ERA) vs. Sean Burke (Chicago, 2-3, 4.10 ERA)
Emerson Hancock will be looking to post his seventh quality start out of 10 outings this season. He fanned six, walked one and allowed one earned run on five hits in six innings pitched against the Padres on May 15.
Sean Burke, like Schultz, will be looking to bounce back after allowing 10 earned runs in his last two starts. He struck out five, walked one and allowed four earned runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings pitched against the Chicago Cubs on May 15.
