The Mariners will look to close out their homestand against their American League West rivals on a strong note.
SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners got back to their winning ways over the weekend and won their second-straight home series with two-straight victories against the Texas Rangers.
The Mariners (10-13) will look to close out their six-game homestand, and a stretch of 13 consecutive games without a day off, in the first of a three-game series against the Athletics at 6:40 p.m. PT on Monday at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
Here's a list of probable pitching matchups for the series between the M's and A's from Monday through Wednesday at T-Mobile Park:
April 20: Emerson Hancock (Mariners, 2-1, 2.28 ERA) vs. J.T. Ginn (Athletics, 0-0, 3.31 ERA)
Hancock will open the series against the Athletics coming off his third quality start in four outings. He struck out six, walked one and allowed two earned runs on four hits (one home run) in six innings pitched against the San Diego Padres on April 15.
Ginn began the year with three outings out of the bullpen. He's started his last two appearances but has been unable to find his first quality start of the year. He fanned three, walked four and allowed two earned runs on two hits (one homer) in 5.1 innings of work against the Rangers on April 15.
April 21: Luis Castillo (Mariners, 0-1, 5.40 ERA) vs. Jacob Lopez (Athletics, 1-1, 6.38 ERA)
Castillo has allowed at least four runs in three consecutive outings after beginning the year with a quality start. He'll look to get back on track against the A's.
Castillo struck out three, walked three and allowed four runs (one earned) on seven hits in 5.1 innings of work against the Padres on April 16.

He fanned five, walked four and allowed two earned runs on three hits in five innings pitched against Texas on April 16.
April 22: Logan Gilbert (Mariners, 1-3, 4.03 ERA) vs. Aaron Civale (Athletics, 2-1, 3.54 ERA)
Gilbert began the year with two starts of at least three earned runs allowed. In his last three outings, Seattle's Opening Day starter has started to regain his familiar form. Both of his quality starts have come in that stretch.
Gilbert didn't register a quality start his last outing against the Rangers on April 17 but he was still able to put together a solid start. He struck out seven batters, walked one, hit another and allowed two earned runs on seven hits (one home run) in 5.1 innings pitched.
Civale is coming off arguably his worst outings of the season so far. He fanned four, walked two (one intentionally), hit a batter and allowed five earned runs on 11 hits in 4.2 innings against the Chicago White Sox on April 17.
