SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners were able to fight through a series of nagging injuries, securing a series win against the Baltimore Orioles from Tuesday-Thursday at T-Mobile Park.

The Mariners won games one and games three of the series, dropping only the middle game. Seattle's starting pitchers of Logan Gilbert, George Kirby and Bryan Woo each posted a quality start.

Seattle will look to make it two series wins in a row and continue the stretch of strong showings from its rotation in a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox, beginning at 7:10 p.m. PT on Friday.

Here's the pitching probables for the series between the Mariners and Red Sox:

Seattle will be returning to its piggyback approach it had earlier in the season with Bryce Miller and Luis Castillo, but with a twist.

Rather than the piggyback being limited to just those two starters, all hurlers on the rotation will take turns piggybacking between now and the All-Star break.

The arrangement will return Friday with its usual pair, with Miller starting and Castillo pitching in long relief.

Miller struck out seven and allowed two earned runs on four hits (two home runs) in eight innings pitched against the Washington Nationals on June 12.

Ranger Suarez will enter Friday's game coming off a solid outing against the Texas Rangers on June 13 where he fanned seven, walked two and allowed two earned runs on six hits in five innings of work.

Both starting pitchers in Saturday's game will be looking to bounce back after the worst starts of their respective seasons.

Emerson Hancock struck out two and allowed six earned runs on nine hits (one homer) in four innings pitched against the Nationals on June 14.

Connelly Early fanned three, walked two and allowed six earned runs on 11 hits (two home runs) in 4.2 innings against the Rangers on June 14.

Gilbert kicked off the series against the Orioles with a seven-inning quality start Tuesday. He struck out 10 batters, walked one, hit a batter and allowed one earned run on two hits.

Payton Tolle will be closing the series coming off an up-and-down start against the Toronto Blue Jays on June 16. He fanned six, walked two and allowed three earned runs on four hits (two home runs) in five innings pitched.

The Mariners enter play at 39-37 and two games up in the American League West. The Red Sox are 29-43 and have the fewest wins in the American League.
