The Mariners will begin a six-game road trip with hopes of creating separation from the American League West.
The Seattle Mariners are coming off a disappointing but neutral homestand, finishing 3-3 against the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox.
Despite the middling homestand, the Mariners enter play on Tuesday with a 40-39 record and a 1.5-game lead over the Athletics and Texas Rangers.
Seattle will embark on a six-game road trip comprised of respective three-game series against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Guardians.
The first leg of that trip will take place against Pittsburgh at 3:40 p.m. PT at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. The Pirates are 39-39 and in fourth place in the competitive National League Central.
Here's the pitching matchups for the upcoming series between the Mariners and Pirates:
June 23: George Kirby (Seattle, 4.10 ERA, 5-7) vs. Mitch Keller (Pittsburgh, 4.92 ERA, 5-4)
George Kirby will begin the series against Pittsburgh looking for a third consecutive quality start. He struck out five batters and allowed three earned runs on eight hits (one home run) in six innings pitched against Baltimore on June 17.
Mitch Keller will start the series for the Pirates. He fanned seven, walked four and allowed five runs (one earned) on four hits (one home run) in 5.1 innings of work against the Athletics on June 16.
June 24: Bryan Woo (Seattle, 3.94 ERA, 6-5) vs. Braxton Ashcraft (Pittsburgh, 3.18 ERA, 6-3)
Bryan Woo will be arriving at PNC Park coming off one of his best outings of the season.
Woo struck out nine, walked one and allowed three hits in seven innings pitched against the Orioles on June 18.

June 25: Bryce Miller (Seattle, 1.58 ERA, 3-1) vs. Bubba Chandler (Pittsburgh, 4.62 ERA, 2-7)
Bryce Miller will be looking to continue his strong 2026 and will take the mound in the series finale against Pittsburgh looking for his fourth consecutive outing of at least seven strikeouts.
Miller finished with seven fanned batters and one earned run allowed on three hits (one homer) in five innings of work in his piggyback outing with fellow starter Luis Castillo against Boston on June 19.
Bubba Chandler will be attempting to secure his first consecutive quality start-tandem in the series finale. He struck out one hitter, walked two, hit two batters and allowed two earned runs on six hits (one home run) in six innings of work against the Colorado Rockies on June 19.
