The Mariners will be looking for their first road series win of the season in a three-game set against the Cardinals

The Seattle Mariners are coming off a stretch of 13 consecutive games without a day off. The stretch featured highs and lows, including a 7-6 final record over the 13 games, sweeping their American League West rivals, the Houston Astros, and being swept in return on the road against the San Diego Padres.

The Mariners had a much-needed off-day Thursday before embarking on a six-game road trip, starting with a three-game set against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Game one of the series will begin at 5:15 p.m. PT on Friday at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. Seattle will be looking for its first road series win of the season.

Luckily for the M's, they'll have their three most effective starting pitchers slated to go against St. Louis.

Here's the pitching matchups for the series between the Mariners and the Cardinals:

April 24: George Kirby (Seattle, 3-2, 2.97 ERA) vs. Andre Pallante (St. Louis, 2-1, 4.05 ERA)

Kirby is coming off his shortest outing of the season and first non-quality start, but was still effective in his most recent appearance.

Kirby struck out five batters, walked two and allowed one earned run on seven hits (one home run) in 5.2 innings pitched against the Texas Rangers on April 18.

Pallante is still searching for his first quality start of 2026. He fanned five, walked three and allowed one earned run on three hits (one homer) in five innings of work against the Astros on April 18.

April 25: Bryan Woo (Seattle, 1-2, 2.25 ERA) vs. Matthew Liberatore (St. Louis, 0-1, 3.67 ERA)

Woo is coming off his fourth quality start of the season and third seven-inning outing in his last four appearances.

Woo fanned six, walked one, hit a batter and allowed two earned runs on four hits in seven innings of work against the Rangers on April 19.

Liberatore is coming off his second quality start of the year. He fanned four, walked two and allowed one earned run on three hits in six innings pitched against Houston on April 19.

April 26: Emerson Hancock (Seattle, 2-1, 2.83 ERA) vs. Michael McGreevy (St. Louis, 1-2, 3.29 ERA)

Hancock is coming off his "worst" start of 2026 but, similar to Kirby, was still effective.

Hancock struck out three batters and allowed three earned runs on seven hits (three homers) in five innings against the Athletics on April 20. All three of his earned runs allowed came via solo homers.

McGreevy wasn't able to get through six innings in his last go against the Miami Marlins on April 20. He fanned three, walked two and allowed four earned runs on five hits (one homer) in 5.2 innings pitched.
