The Mariners continued their college-bat-heavy approach in the first half of Day 2 of the MLB Draft.

SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners went through Day 1 of the 2026 MLB Draft on Saturday with a college-heavy approach that featured three position players. The draft began with the Mariners selecting Mississippi State third baseman Ace Reese with the 24th overall pick.

The second and final day of the draft took place Sunday, with the Mariners having picks from Rounds 5-20. Just like Day 1, Seattle continued its college-dominant approach and continued to bolster their crop of position players in the farm system.

Here's a recap of the Mariners' draft picks from Rounds 5-12:

Round 5, Pick No. 162: Hayden Yost, OF (Florida)

Seattle opted to use their first pick from Day 2 of the draft to go with their second SEC outfielder in Hayden Yost.

The Florida product slashed .262/.369/.589 with a .958 OPS in 42 games this season and hit five doubles and 10 home runs with 23 RBIs.

Round 6, Pick No. 191: Henry Ford, 3B/OF (Tennessee)

The Mariners used their sixth round pick on one of the most prolific power hitters in the SEC from this year.

Ford slashed .293/.360/.603 with a .964 OPS in 58 games and hit 15 doubles and 20 homers with 57 RBIs.

Round 7, Pick No. 220: Ryan Wynn, SS (Georgia)

Seattle stayed in the SEC and opted to add another middle infield prospect to a surplus of them in the farm system.

Wynn was one of the better players on a Bulldogs team that made the NCAA College World Series for the first time since 2008. He finished his final collegiate season having slashed .323/.377/.638 with a 1.015 OPS in 50 games. He hit 14 doubles and nine home runs with 37 RBIs.

Round 8, Pick No. 250: Mason Eckelman, C (Ohio State)

The Mariners briefly adventured away from the SEC to the Big Ten and added another intriguing catching prospect to their farm system.

Eckelman was an efficient hitter at the plate for the Buckeyes this season. In 53 games, he had a slash line of .304/.422/.546 with a .948 OPS and hit 15 doubles, four triples and eight home runs with 47 RBIs.

Round 9, Pick No. 280: Drew Whalen, RHP (Auburn)

Seattle used its pick in the ninth round to take just its second pitcher of the draft.

Whalen was unable to get through his third college season and first with the Tigers completely healthy. He made six appearances and posted a 2.45 ERA with 11 strikeouts in as many innings pitched.

Round 10, Pick 310: Eric Jeon, 2B (Stanford)

The Mariners took their second middle infielder of the draft (and the day) with their 10th round pick Sunday.

In his first and only year with the Cardinal, the right-handed hitting infielder slashed .323/.425/.540 with a .965 OPS in 46 games and hit eight doubles and nine home runs with 28 RBIs.

Round 11, Pick 340: Wyatt Queen, RHP (Oregon State)

The Lake Stevens, Wash., native, who began his career with Everett Community College before pitching two years with the Beavers, will be returning to the Pacific Northwest.

The third pitcher drafted this year by Seattle posted a 2.49 ERA and fanned 78 batters in 47 innings of work across 21 outings (one start) for Oregon State this season.

Round 12, Pick 370: Connor Marshburn, RHP (UNC Wilmington)

The Mariners took their fourth pitcher of the draft, third of the day and second player of the draft from UNC Wilmington with their 12th-round pick.

Marshburn, who was a three-year player for the Hawks, posted a 4.57 ERA and struck out 81 batters in 80.2 innings pitched across 15 starts this year.
