Entering play on Wednesday, the Seattle Mariners are 33-29 and in first place in the American League West by 2.5 games over the Texas Rangers. Seattle has won eight consecutive games and is looking for a three-game sweep of the New York Mets.
By virtue of being in first place, the present looks pretty good for the M's, but the future also looks pretty nice too.
Baseball America released its updated Top 100 prospect rankings for June on Wednesday, and the Mariners now have five Top 100 prospects per the outlet, including three of the top 10.
Here's what you need to know:
No. 3, Colt Emerson
A first-round pick of the Mariners in 2023 from the Ohio high school ranks, Emerson has already made his major league debut. The Mariners are 11-4 since calling him up to the big leagues, and he's hitting .271 with three homers and eight RBIs. Also playing a solid third base, he looks like a long-term solution for the Mariners at just the age of 20.
No. 7, Ryan Sloan
A second-round pick of the Mariners in 2024 from the Illinois high school ranks, he's already pitching at Double-A Arkansas at just 20 years old. A possible option for the Mariners down the stretch this year, he's got a 4.34 ERA in 37.1 innings with the Travelers, registering 49 strikeouts. He carried a no-hitter through six innings in his last start.
No. 9, Kade Anderson
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft out of LSU, Anderson is also an option for the Mariners later this season. Also pitching at Double-A Arkansas, he's got a sparkling 1.43 ERA in 44 innings. He's struck out 67 batters. Not bad for the reigning Most Outstanding Player of the College World Series.

A bat-first player who has drawn comparisons to Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros, he's just 21 years old. His averaged has slumped at Double-A Arkansas, hitting just .217, but he's got 14 homers and 35 RBIs and flashing prodigious power.
No. 98, Luke Stevenson
A second-round pick in 2025 out of North Carolina, Stevenson is still just 21 years old and playing at High-A Everett. With the AquaSox, he's hitting .243 with three homers, 29 RBIs and two stolen bases. He's featuring a .421 on-base percentage.
