SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners managed to pull off a series sweep courtesy of a 1-0 win against the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday at T-Mobile Park.

The Mariners were able to secure the sweep against their division rivals off the back of a seven-inning quality start from Bryce Miller in which he didn't allow a hit until the seventh inning and didn't issue a free base.

But the win wasn't without some potential losses for Seattle, however.

Mariners center fielder Julio Rodriguez and corner outfielder Victor Robles both exited Thursday's game.

Rodriguez left the game before the third inning began after he was hit in the head by a throw going to second base on a fielder's choice in the first inning.

Robles exited before the fifth inning began after being hit by a pitch on the forearm in the bottom of the third.

Per postgame comments made by Seattle manager Dan Wilson, Rodriguez is currently in concussion protocol. Robles underwent X-rays for his forearm, which came back negative.

"We'll take a look and see how (Rodriguez) is in the morning and kind of assess a little bit more then," Wilson said after the game. " ... (Robles) was in a lot of pain there in the forearm/wrist area. We'll assess when we get there in the morning, tomorrow when we get to the ballpark and see where we're at. Obviously tough blows, no question. But we've been dealing with it for a while now. Just have to keep pushing."

If either Robles, Rodriguez, or both, are unable to go for Friday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays, it would leave the Mariners with a thin bench that was already working through some nagging injuries.

Both designated hitter Dominic Canzone and outfielder Luke Raley returned to the lineup Thursday. Canzone (hamstring soreness) and Raley (left forearm fatigue) both were held out of the lineup Tuesday due to their respective injuries, which gave them two days off when paired with the off-day Wednesday.

With Robles and Rodriguez both out, Raley moved from right field to center field and Weston Wilson played in right. If neither of the ailing outfielders are ready to go Friday, that would leave backup catcher Mitch Garver and versatile infielder Buddy Kennedy as the only players on Seattle's bench.

Rodriguez has slashed .259/.323/.424 with a .747 OPS in 87 games this season and has hit 15 doubles and 14 home runs with 40 RBIs.

Robles has a slash line of .233/.273/.260 with a .533 OPS in 32 games this year and has hit two doubles with three RBIs.

The Mariners and Blue Jays will play on Friday at 7:10 p.m. PT.
