Many Mariners fans will remember "T" from his time at the 2025 Home Run Derby. Now, he's forging his own path.

Congratulations are in order for Todd Raleigh Jr., the brother of Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh, who made his college choice on Friday.

"T," a junior in high school from North Carolina, announced that he's going to play his college baseball at Oklahoma.

Joe Doyle at Over Slot Baseball notes that Raleigh is the No. 102 prospect in the Class of 2028. He's a 6-foot-4 switch-hitter with solid bat-to-ball skills and the ability to catch and throw behind the plate as well.

Many Mariners fans will remember "T" from the 2025 Home Run Derby, where he served as the catcher for Cal Raleigh's run to the derby crown. Their father, Todd Raleigh Sr., was Cal's pitcher in the derby as well.

About Cal Raleigh in college

While "T" will be playing at Oklahoma, Cal played his college ball at Florida State. In 194 games for the Seminoles, he hit .282 with 32 home runs and 143 RBIs. He was a third-round pick in the 2018 MLB Draft by the Mariners and he made his major league debut in 2021.

About Cal Raleigh in the big leagues

Now a six-year veteran, Raleigh has ascended to one of, if not the best, catchers in the big leagues. A career .218 hitter, he has 176 home runs and 445 RBIs. He's become the leader of the Mariners in many ways and is the biggest middle-of-the-order threat in the lineup. He finished as the runner up in the 2025 American League MVP voting after hitting 60 homers and bringing in 125.

His 60 homers were the most ever by a switch-hitter, a catcher or a member of the Mariners. He gained national recognition for his year, which included the derby crown and a trip to the American League Championship Series.

He dealt with an injury-plagued season in 2026, hitting just .182, but he still had 23 home runs and 69 RBIs.

Also a solid defender, he won the Platinum Glove Award in 2024.
