The M's outfielder was having all kinds of fun in Mexico's blowout win vs. Brazil.

Team Mexico rolled to a run-rule shortened 16-0 victory over Brazil on Sunday night in the World Baseball Classic. After defeating Great Britain in the opener, Mexico is now 2-0 and looking like a strong contender to play for a WBC crown. They'll take on Team USA in a highly-anticipated matchup on Monday night at 5 p.m. PT. The Americans are also 2-0 after defeating the same teams.

A pair of Seattle Mariners play a prominent role on the Mexican squad: Outfielder Randy Arozarena and closer Andres Munoz.

Munoz threw one inning in the win over Great Britain and Arozarena is hitting .333 over two games with two walks. He's also responsible for one of the most fun moments of the WBC so far, as he was spotted signing autographs for Mexico fans during Sunday's game. He did so in the middle of an inning.

Arozarena, originally from Cuba, has made Mexico his new home and proudly supports his new homeland. He was one of the breakout players in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, helping lead Mexico to a semifinal run, where they were beaten by Team Japan, who eventually won the championship.

Of all the big-league players who play in the World Baseball Classic, Arozarena seems to be one of the ones who embraces the environment the most.

About Arozarena

Now 31 years old, Arozarena is in his seventh year in the big leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays and Mariners. A two-time All-Star, he won Rookie of the Year in 2021 and was an integral part of the Rays' run to the World Series in 2020.

The Mariners acquired him at the trade deadline in 2024 and he was a big part of the team's trip to the American League Championship Series in 2025. He hit .238 with 27 home runs, 76 RBIs and 31 stolen bases. He posted a 119 OPS+, pairing with Cal Raleigh and Julio Rodriguez to make up the teeth of Seattle's order.

He will play a prominent role yet again, and he'll have even more help with the addition of Brendan Donovan to the lineup.

Elsewhere for the Mariners

--Seattle lost to the Milwaukee Brewers in Cactus League action on Sunday. Despite the loss, Brennan Davis continues to be a spring training superstar.

--The M's have not named an Opening Day starter yet at this point, but it seems to be a battle between Bryan Woo and Logan Gilbert.

--George Kirby is now experimenting with calling some of his own pitches.
