Back on March 5, the Seattle Mariners revealed a preliminary roster for the annual "Spring Breakout Game."
The contest, which is in its third year, is a way to show off the top prospects in the sport, and some of the lesser known ones as well. The Mariners played against the San Diego Padres prospects in 2024 and the Cleveland Guardians group in 2025. This year, the M's will play against the Milwaukee Brewers on March 20 at 2:10 p.m. PT.
The roster was finalized on Wednesday.
Here's what you need to know about who the Mariners are taking to Maryvale, Ariz. for the matchup:

Starting pitcher Kade Anderson 32 on the mound as The LSU Tigers take on the West Virginia Mountaineers in game 1 of the 2025 NCAA Div 1 Super Regional Baseball Championship at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, LA. Saturday, June 7, 2025--This will be the last chance for Mariners fans to see Sloan or Anderson before the start of the minor league season. Both players impressed in spring training but were sent down to minor league camp. It's unclear where they will begin their seasons, but it's likely that Anderson begins at Double-A and Sloan at High-A.
--Injured prospects were removed from the preliminary roster list. This includes pitchers Teddy McGraw and Grant Knipp. Outfielder Rhylan Thomas was also on the original list but will not play in this game. Is there a chance that he could earn an Opening Day roster spot?
--This will be the first look for many Mariners fans at Bautista, who spent the 2025 season playing in the Dominican Republic. He hit .223 in 53 games.
--Emerson is on the roster despite the chance that he'll make the Opening Day roster. Though we think Leo Rivas will start at shortstop at Opening Day, the injury situation for J.P. Crawford is noteworthy right now.
