The Mariners will have a familiar lineup for the first of the best-of-five ALDS against the Tigers

SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners are set to begin the best-of-five American League Divisional Series against the Detroit Tigers at 5:38 p.m. PT on Saturday at T-Mobile Park.

Five hours before first pitch, the Mariners announced their lineup for their first home ALDS game in three seasons — and the club will be going with a typical lineup that helped get them to the dance.

Randy Arozarena will lead off in left field, Cal Raleigh will bat second and start at catcher, center fielder Julio Rodriguez will hit No. 3, first baseman Josh Naylor will bat cleanup, second baseman Jorge Polanco is slotted at fifth in the lineup, third baseman Eugenio Suarez will bat sixth, Dominic Canzone will hit seventh as the designated hitter, Victor Robles will stand in right field and bat eighth and shortstop J.P. Crawford will round up the order.

The Tigers lineup was yet to be announced at the time Seattle's order was released.

The Mariners have a prime opportunity to take a 1-0 lead Saturday. Detroit will be going for a bullpen day, with Troy Melton getting the start. Defending AL Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal will start in Game 2 Sunday.

Seattle could also only be with their full lineup for a portion of the game.

Naylor's wife's due date is Saturday, and he'll leave the team briefly to go to Arizona when his wife gives birth.

To potentially supplement Naylor's potential absence, Suarez has practiced at first base for the Mariners in the week leading up to ALDS. Seattle has third baseman Ben Williamson and versatile infielder Leo Rivas on the ALDS roster. That would allow the Mariners to move Suarez over to first and slot Rivas or Williamson at third base if Naylor has to depart.

The game will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) and streaming platforms FUBO, FOX One and DirecTV Stream.
