The Mariners will be looking to build off their amazing 2025 and will have an opportunity to do it in front of a large audience

The Seattle Mariners will enter 2026 coming off the best postseason run in the 49-year history of the franchise.

The Mariners made it to Game 7 of the American League Championship Series and were one win away from winning their first pennant in franchise history.

Alas, the Toronto Blue Jays ultimately won the pennant by one run and Seattle was forced to get an early start on building for 2026.

The Mariners re-signed first baseman Josh Naylor to a five-year deal, acquired high-leverage left-handed reliever Jose Ferrer in a trade with the Washington Nationals and signed first baseman/outfielder Rob Refsnyder and backup catcher Andrew Knizner to one-year deals, respectively.

Seattle could also have several more deals in the works. The team is rumored to be one of the main teams engaged in trade negotiations with the St. Louis Cardinals centered around 2025 All-Star Brendan Donovan.

MORE MARINERS STORIES:

Recently, MLB ranked the Mariners No. 3 in their power rankings, behind pennant-winners, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Blue Jays.

With the Mariners projected to be good again in 2026, a lot of national fans will get a chance to see them for themselves.

MLB's marquee weekly primetime game, Sunday Night Baseball, will move from ESPN to NBC and Peacock for the 2026 season. The M's will have several Sunday Night Baseball games on the docket.

According to a schedule posted on "X" by the Athletic's Andrew Marchand, Seattle will have three Sunday Night Baseball games.

According to the schedule, the three games will be an American League showdown against the Cleveland Guardians on Peacock at 4 p.m. PT on March 29 at T-Mobile Park in Seattle; an Eddie Vedder Cup showdown against the San Diego Padres on Peacock at 4 p.m. PT on May 17 at T-Mobile Park and an American League West matchup on NBC and Peacock against the Houston Astros at 4 p.m. PT on Aug. 16 at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

Games broadcast on Peacock will also simulcast on NBC Sports Network.

Seattle's game against Cleveland will be a part of the first weekend of the 2026 season.

This is a stark contrast to the last two seasons, where the Mariners played a total of just three Sunday Night Basbeall games.

The Mariners will have a fourth nationally-televised game on Peacock. It will take place against Toronto at 2 p.m. PT on July 5 at T-Mobile Park. The game will be a part of the "Star Spangled Sunday" series of games, where Peacock will air each game the day after Independence Day.
