Starting pitcher Logan Gilbert, outfielder Randy Arozarena and designated hitter Dominic Canzone will all have the chance to be named to All-MLB teams.

The Seattle Mariners will be looking to pick up the pieces from, arguably, the most disappointing season in franchise history this offseason. Already, the team has made major changes to the coaching staff as Dan Wilson won't return as manager of the team in 2027 and several members of the coaching staff were fired.

Despite the team's 76-86 record and the subsequent changes that followed, several players on the team finished with solid seasons and are now up for All-MLB honors.

The Mariners had three players nominated for potential selection to All-MLB teams Monday: Dominic Canzone, outfielder Randy Arozarena and starting pitcher Logan Gilbert.

Arozarena is one of 24 outfielders up for the honor, Canzone is one of six designated hitters nominated and Gilbert is one of 29 starting pitchers up for the honor.

Here's an overview of all three players' seasons:

Randy Arozarena, outfielder

Arozarena is coming off his final year under contract with Seattle and put together arguably the best season of his career before hitting free agency.

The 2026 All-Star slashed .281/.381/.484 with an .865 OPS in 154 games. And he hit 34 doubles, two triples and 26 home runs with 79 RBIs. He stole 26 bases in 34 opportunities. His batting average, OPS and on-base percentage were all career-highs in a full season played.

Dominic Canzone, designated hitter/outfielder

Canzone is also coming off a career best season. In a career-high 146 games played, the 29-year-old slashed .264/.336/.484 with an .820 OPS. He pounded 28 doubles, four triples and 23 homers with 77 RBIs. His RBIs, doubles, home runs and slugging percentage were all career-highs.

This year was the first Canzone played in more than 82 games in a single season. He was originally platooned for against left-handed pitching but played his way into being an everyday player.

Logan Gilbert, starting pitcher

Gilbert overcame a slow first half of the season and finished the year out strong. He finished the year with a 3.73 ERA and struck out 205 batters in 186 innings pitched across 32 starts. It was the second season of 200 or more strikeouts in his career. He also reached 1,000 career fanned batters and moved up to fourth on the franchise leaderboard for most strikeouts from a pitcher (1,089).

Conclusion

Arozarena's assumed departure will leave a vacancy at left field that will be hard for the M's to fill in 2027 and beyond. However, the club won't have to immediately worry about finding someone for Gilbert or Canzone's spots on the roster.

Gilbert is under team control through 2027, his fourth year of arbitration, and Canzone will be entering his first year of arbitration next year.
