SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners' injury troubles may have taken another turn for the worst in a series finale against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday at T-Mobile Park.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, with runners on the corners, one out and the Mariners leading the Red Sox 2-1, Seattle right fielder Dominic Canzone grounded out.

Despite being out at first, the play resulted in a run as center fielder Julio Rodriguez was brought home and designated hitter Rob Refsnyder moved to second.

The Mariners' lead extended to 3-1 after Canzone's groundout, but the slugger was seen clutching his right hamstring after stepping on first. That score ended up being the final and the M's finished out their homestand 3-3.

Canzone was slow to the dugout after the groundout and was pulled from the game before the start of the seventh. Luke Raley replaced Canzone in right field.

Canzone was having an amazing game prior to his exit. He hit a solo home run in the bottom of the second inning to give Seattle a 1-0 lead.

Canzone also made a diving grab in right field to and doubled up on the throw to second for an inning-ending 9-6 double play.

Canzone went immediately to the clubhouse after he went to the dugout.

"He's kind of day-to-day," M's manager Dan Wilson said after the game Sunday. "Felt his hamstring a little bit. He's kind of a day-to-day situation so we'll see how he's feeling after the off day (Monday)."

After the game, Canzone said he was feeling "pretty solid" regarding his hamstring.

If Canzone does miss time, it would add to the team's growing list of injury concerns.

Outfielder Randy Arozarena was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a hamstring issue at the beginning of Seattle's six-game homestand. Josh Naylor and Julio Rodriguez all missed games this homestand as well, which included a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles. Raley missed the first four games of the homestand due to back tightness and flu-like symptoms.

Catcher Cal Raleigh and infielder J.P. Crawford were also on the IL but were activated at the beginning of the homestand June 16.

These nagging injuries just added to Seattle's injury report, which includes utility player Brendan Donovan (10-day IL; groin strain); right-handed reliever Cooper Criswell (15-day IL; right pec strain) and right-handed reliever Matt Brash (15-day IL; right lat strain).

Canzone has been one of the best hitters on Seattle's roster this season. In 70 games, the slugger has slashed .281/.353/.562 with a .915 OPS and has hit 12 doubles, a triple and 12 home runs with 33 RBIs. His 12 homers and 33 RBIs are both career-highs.
