Opening Day for the Miami Marlins will really take place at 7 p.m. ET on March 27, as the Fish host the Colorado Rockies at LoanDepot Park to kick off the 2026 MLB season.
But if attendees are looking to hook a Kyle Stowers bobblehead the team is giving out, they'd better get there early.
The promotional bobblehead of the Marlins outfielder will be given out to the first 25,000 fans through the gates that Friday night.
Last year, the Marlins' opening-day game versus the Pittsburgh Pirates drew a crowd of 31,590, one of the best-attended home games of the Fish's 2025 season. Capacity at LoanDepot is 37,442.
Depending on where you're coming from in South Florida -- and what you can afford as far as parking, locals advise getting to the park at least two hours before the first pitch.
"Opening Day is always a big draw, regardless of who we are playing against," CrownAcquisitions1 posted on the MiamiMarlins subReddit on Saturday, noting that there will be plenty of opening-day festivities to attend for early birds.
Park gates open one hour before game time.
Another commenter, rightexactly, clearly a gimlet-eyed South Florida sports fan who has experienced Miami-fan laggards and no-shows regardless of venue, added, "You can get there at first pitch and probably still snag one."
