LoanDepot Park, the home of the Miami Marlins, will play host to the 2026 World Baseball Classic, tournament organizers announced Thursday.
The Marlins' home venue was the first in WBC history to host all three rounds and the championship game of the annual tournament in 2023, when Shohei Ohtani led Team Japan to victory in the final game.
LoanDepot Park again will host games in pool play, the quarterfinals, semifinals, and the WBC Championship game. The tournament runs March 5-17.
Pool play will also take place at Minute Maid Park, home to the Houston Astros; the Tokyo Dome in Japan; and Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Quarterfinals games are set for Minute Maid Park and loanDepot Park, then the semis and final will be played in Miami.
The Marlins' home park also hosted the NHL's 2026 Winter Classic, held Jan. 2. The New York Rangers defeated the Florida Panthers 5-1 in the league's annual outdoor tournament.
