The Miami Marlins bullpen allowed a four-run rally in the sixth in loss to Philadelphia Phillies.

The Miami Marlins led by two runs, but a sixth-inning bullpen collapse led to a 6-4 loss against the Philadelphia Phillies, nearly crushing all playoff hopes.

Reliever Michael Peterson (2-3) was credited with the loss; meanwhile, Alex McFarlane (1-1) was credited with a win and Brooks Raley claimed his first save of the season. The Marlins (64-63) revert to a game above .500 and 3.5 games behind the San Diego Padres for the last Wild Card spot in the National League. The Arizona Diamondbacks (one game behind) and St. Louis Cardinals (2.5 games behind) leap ahead in the standings, as the Phillies (69-58) are winners of five consecutive games.

Manager Clayton McCullough used six total pitchers, including Peterson and Tyler Phillips in the sixth, which is when disaster struck.
