Sandy Alcantara aims to bounce back in his Rogers Centre debut as Miami’s surging pitching staff and hot-hitting Canadian stars chase the National League’s longest active streak.

Looking to secure another series win and extend their winning streak to five games, the Miami Marlins turn to their ace as they face the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday in Toronto.

Alcantara has a 4.00 ERA going into his 12th start of the season. It will be his first start at Rogers Centre, the 26th different ballpark the 30-year-old has pitched in during his career.

Alcantara enters Tuesday with 69.2 innings pitched, which is second in the National League. He is coming off a rocky start in which he allowed six earned runs on nine hits, including two home runs, with three strikeouts in six innings in a loss at home against the Atlanta Braves.

The last time Alcantara faced the Blue Jays was a home start during his Cy Young campaign on June 21, 2023. He allowed five earned runs on 10 hits with two walks and six strikeouts over 7.0 innings pitched.
