It was a pitching fan’s dream this Memorial Day as Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Jacob Misiorowski put on an absolute clinic through seven innings pitched.
The performance, against the St. Louis Cardinals, extended the Brewers NL Central division lead.

Misiorowski was the biggest story of the 5-1 victory. His pitching has been lights out throughout the month of May, but an early walk appeared to signal a cooling off of the Milwaukee arm. That concern was short-lived, however.
The right-handed pitcher would then go on to keep the Cardinals off the bases until the sixth inning and struck out 12 batters, continuing his ten-plus strikeout streak for a fifth consecutive appearance.
Misiorowski threw a remarkable 57 pitches of 100 mph or more, the most ever recorded in the pitch-tracking era (2008).
The previous high was also charted against the St. Louis Cardinals when Cincinnati Reds pitcher Hunter Greene threw 47 in 2022.
This game was a much-needed bounce back victory for the Brewers who dropped their two previous games against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Milwaukee now holds a 2.5 game lead in the NL Central with their victory over the division rivals.
The historic pitching display is just one example of what has been a masterclass month from the mound from Misiorowski, who is firmly in conversation for the 2026 National League Cy Young Award.
