After an 11-1 victory over the Miami Marlins on Sept. 24, Philadelphia secured its first-round bye, skipping straight to the 2025 National League Divisional Series.

The clinching game featured eight home runs from the Phillies offense. Top slugger Kyle Schwarber smashed two long balls while Edmundo Sosa joined a decorated list of shortstops to hit three home runs in a single game. Additionally, Alec Bohm, Otto Kemp and Bryson Stott took their shots at a house cal.

The Phillies' record improved to 93-65 on the year, with a first-round bye still barely in reach. After their win over the San Diego Padres, the Milwaukee Brewers still have a 2.5 game buffer with the No. 1 seed in hand.
