Phillies' Schwarber, Realmuto Launch Solo Shots to Take Early Lead

Philadelphia Phillies' designated hitter Kyle Schwarber put the Fightins ahead early in their potential NL East-clinching matchup against the Kansas City Royals, launching a ball to left-center field on the first pitch of his at-bat.

Just two batters later, catcher JT Realmuto followed suit, taking his own shot at a house call and sent a ball to deep left to open a 2-0 lead for Philadelphia in the bottom of the first inning.

A really great sight to see for the Phillies faithful, as a win, regardless of a New York Mets win or loss, would clinch the National League East title in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2010-2011.
