By all indications and talent evaluators, Aidan Miller is destined to be a star with the Philadelphia Phillies; the big unknown, though, is when he’ll get that opportunity at the big-league level.
This spring could be a big indicator of when he gets the call to the MLB roster, and with that, Miller has a couple of goals he’s set out for himself during training camp.
The Phillies' top prospect recently appeared on Sports Radio WIP and shared that his two main focuses this spring are health and consistency.
“First thing is just getting healthy, getting on the field,” said Miller.
Unfortunately, Miller hasn’t appeared in a Grapefruit League game yet due to some back soreness.
Phillies skipper Rob Thomson stressed that the team is just being extremely cautious with him and that Miller is getting treatment, but we still haven’t seen him make his spring training debut just yet.
Once Miller does get back on the field, he wants to do his best to be the same player every day, no matter the circumstances.

"The last couple years I've had months where some pretty tough stretches and just avoiding those and being as consistent as I can throughout the whole year."
Consistency can be difficult for a young player, especially when they’re making their way through the farm system, playing at different levels, meeting a variety of new teammates, and everything in between.
Between Double-A and Triple-A in 2025, Miller put together a .264/.392/.533 slash line, including 27 doubles and 14 home runs.
That said, the summer months weren’t as kind to him, as the 21-year-old had an OPS of .674 in June and July. Thankfully, Miller did finish on a high note, owning an OPS over 1.000 in September.
Hopefully, once Miller does get back on the field, he can find that consistency he’s seeking and put together a strong 2026 season, whether it be all in the Minors or if he eventually does make his way up to The Show.
