Multiple of MLB's top hitters are on the Philadelphia Phillies.
For as much as the Philadelphia Phillies had a slow start and have been largely underwhelming on many fronts up to this point in the 2026 MLB season, there have been some individual bright spots on the roster.
Over a quarter of the way through the season, the Phillies have multiple players among the MLB leaders in a variety of offensive stats. In one case, one Phillies player is even leading their respective category.
Bryce Harper - OPS
Bryce Harper was the subject of plenty of Phillies offseason discussion, and in some cases, even criticism.
Is the former MVP still elite? Well, his numbers definitely suggest that he is.
Harper’s .938 OPS currently ranks 10th in all of Major League Baseball, and sixth in the National League.
It’s also the highest since his 2021 season, when Harper led all of baseball with a 1.044 OPS. In fact, Harper’s OPS is currently higher than it was during his 2023 MVP campaign.
Seeing Harper’s stats in the league-leading conversation is certainly a good sign for him and the Phillies moving forward. Yet, he doesn’t even have the highest OPS on the team; that goes to the next player.

Kyle Schwarber owns a .950 OPS up to this point in the season, which is eighth in MLB. Those numbers are so high thanks to Schwarber’s home run stats.
Schwarber has already slugged 16 home runs on the season, and five in the last five games. Those 16 homers are the most in the National League and tied for the most in baseball with New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge.
Schwarber is on pace to hit 63 home runs if he’s able to keep this up. That would be the most in his 11-year career and would firmly put Schwarber in the MVP race for the 2026 season.
Brandon Marsh - AVG
Both Harper and Schwarber hitting at an elite level isn’t surprising, but still a welcome sight for the Phillies. What likely wasn't on many Phillies fans' radar coming into the season was Brandon Marsh being one of the best hitters in MLB, approaching two months in.
Marsh currently owns a batting average of .353, which, yes, leads all of MLB, not just the Phillies or the National League.
The big question with these stats is, is it sustainable? Perhaps it is. Marsh has always been a high-contact player throughout his career. He’s definitely bound for some regression, but Marsh seems to be putting together the best season of his six-year career.
