The Philadelphia Phillies roster for the 2026 season is certainly starting to take shape. There are still some holes in the lineup that the front office must fill before spring training, but after the Adolis Garcia signing, here is what one interaction of what Philadelphia’s Opening Day lineup could look like next March.

Adolis Garcia’s Addition To Philadelphia’s Lineup
Adolis Garcia has the potential to make this Phillies lineup that much more dangerous. That said, after two down seasons for the 32-year-old, he’ll have to prove his spot higher up in Philadelphia’s lineup.
In a perfect world, Garcia is hitting cleanup behind Harper at some point throughout the season. For now, though, having him in the middle or back half of the lineup makes the most sense and allows players such as Harrison Bader and Brandon Marsh, who have higher OBPs, to hit behind Philly’s big three.

Even after the Garcia signing, the Phillies’ outfield depth remains thin, and Dave Dombrowski should still seriously consider bringing back Harrison Bader; he would fit perfectly with this group.
Bader is coming off a season where he had an OPS of .796, including 17 home runs. He would supply some protection behind Kyle Schwarber and is still a tremendous defensive outfielder.
Bringing back Bader won’t be cheap, but it’s a necessary move to make if the Phillies want to be World Series contenders in 2026.
JT Realmuto's Future With The Phillies
As of Tuesday, JT Realmuto is still a free agent, and the Phillies don’t have a real direction on who their catcher will be in 2026. That said, a reunion between Realmuto and Philadelphia feels inevitable and would make sense as a win-now move for the Phillies.
Realmuto is coming off one of the worst offensive seasons of his career in 2025. However, if the 34-year-old is hitting ninth in the lineup and can still hit double-digit home runs throughout the year, he won’t be a liability for the offense.
Plies Realmuto is a veteran and knows this pitching staff better than any other catching option. The Phillies can’t forget about that, and his timeline with the organization should be the same as Aaron Nola and Zack Wheeler’s.
