What are your thoughts on the Pirates firing their pitching coach?

I have to say... I'm a little confused at this decision.

The Pirates, evidently the organization where bamboo bats turn into twigs, decided to fire their pitching coach, Oscarr Marin.

Pittsburgh's team ERA (likely because of Paul Skenes), was seventh in all of the Major Leagues. But Skenes wasn't the only stud that performed well. The Pirates' Bullpen ERA was 13th in the league.

However, as a whole, the organization was 28th in team batting average.

Maybe manager Don Kelly just wants his own staff, and that the whole staff will be replaced. But to keep the hitting coach, Matt Hague and let go of Marin is certainly a choice.

What are your thoughts?
