When looking at the potential starting nine players for the Texas Rangers this season, go ahead and put Corey Seager down for shortstop.

Sure, Seager didn't have a great overall 2025 season, but there's time to make 2026 matter.

"Seager, the Rangers’ franchise superstar, played just 102 games in 2026, by far the fewest of his Texas tenure," Rangers beat reporter Kennedi Landry wrote for MLB.com. "Despite the injuries that have plagued him over the past few seasons, he’s still one of the best players in baseball when he's healthy."

So, will Seager have a bounce-back season? It's worth paying attention to as Spring Training starts in earnest in a few days.
