Looking to bounce back, the Texas Rangers will take on an AL West division rival for the first time this season.

The Texas Rangers' first home series of the 2026 season did not go the way they had envisioned it.

During Friday’s home opener, Texas reliever Chris Martin allowed what ended up as a game-winning, two-run home run in a 5-3 series-opening loss to the Cincinnati Reds.

On Saturday night, Kumar Rocker made his season debut and, despite allowing a pair of first-inning runs, battled to pitch four scoreless innings after that initial frame.

Unfortunately for the Rangers, their offense sputtered as they were shut out for the first time in 2026, suffering a 2-0 defeat.

On Easter Sunday, the Rangers had a chance to salvage a win out of the series, but their lone offense came on a Joc Pederson solo home run in the seventh, and Texas fell 2-1.

Texas was able to muster just four runs in the entire series in showings that felt much like the 2025 Rangers team.

After losing their road trip finale and then the three games against the Reds, Texas has now lost four games in a row following their 4-1 start to the season.

Looking to bounce back, the Rangers will take on an AL West division rival for the first time this season.

Texas will welcome the Seattle Mariners to Globe Life Field for a three-game set on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Monday and Tuesday’s games will begin at 7:05 PM CST before a Wednesday afternoon matinee at 1:35 PM CST to wrap up the series.

The series opener features a pitching matchup of two All-Stars as Jacob deGrom will make his second start of the 2026 season.

deGrom went 4 2/3 innings, allowing six hits and three runs while punching out seven in his season debut last week.

The suddenly struggling Rangers offense will have its hands full on Monday night as Mariners star starter Logan Gilbert is scheduled to take the mound.

If one thing is for certain with Seattle, it’s that they are going to feature good starting pitching no matter which part of the rotation you match up with them in a series.

The Rangers and Mariners series will feature a pair of giveaways at Globe Life Field as the first 10,000 fans into the stadium on Monday night will receive a Rangers chenille crewneck.

On Wednesday, it will be a very rare weekday, day game giveaway as the first 10,000 fans will receive a retro ceramic bobblehead.
