First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m., with parking lots at the ballpark slated to open at 4:00 p.m., followed by gates at 5:00 p.m.
If you’re planning on heading out to the Globe, you’ll want to do so early, as the first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a free “I Like Texas” Vinyl Record presented by Audacy.
Also happening before the game, former Rangers outfielder and current Rangers Sports Network analyst David Murphy will sign autographs for the first 225 fans in line at the New Era Alumni Alley stand located on the Upper Concourse behind Section 223 beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Fittingly, Murphy’s appearance comes as the Rangers celebrate his alma mater on Baylor University night at the ballpark. Fans who purchase a community night ticket to Friday night's game through the Rangers' official website will receive a co-branded Baylor/Texas Rangers windbreaker jacket.
When the action on the field gets underway, Texas will don their red Tejas City Connect uniforms as they do on every Friday night home game.
If you’re not planning on heading out to the ballpark but want to tune into the action, you’ll have a different way to do so as Friday night’s game will be exclusively on Apple TV as part of their package of select Friday night MLB games. Nathan Eovaldi will take the mound for the Rangers, making his 22nd start of the season. Coming into play, Eovaldi is 10-9 with a 4.31 ERA, a 1.12 WHIP, and 135 strikeouts in 127.1 innings.
Eovaldi will look to bounce back from a rough start against the Houston Astros last weekend, where he allowed six earned runs in just five innings of work.
On the other side of the ball, Texas hitters will face Orioles right-hander Shane Baz, who will make his 23rd start of the season.
Baz has a record of just 4-10 but has an ERA under four at 3.86 and a WHIP of 1.37 with 111 strikeouts in 128.1 innings. In each of his last three starts, Baz has allowed just one run.
