The Texas Rangers are set to begin a nine-game homestand at Globe Life Field on Tuesday night.
Texas Rangers fans have yet to get very many opportunities to see their team in action at Globe Life Field during the 2026 season.
After beginning with a week-long season-opening road trip, the Rangers played a pair of home series before heading right back out on the road for a week and a half.
Finally, Rangers fans will have a great chance to come out and see their team in action as Texas is set to begin an action-packed, nine-game homestand at Globe Life Field on Tuesday night.
Kicking off the slate of games, the Rangers will welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates to town for a three-game interleague showdown.
Luckily for Rangers hitters and, depending on the way you look at things, perhaps unlucky for Rangers fans, they will not have to face Pirates superstar pitcher Paul Skenes.
Pittsburgh will send Carmen Mlodzinski, Braxton Ashcraft, and Bubba Chandler to the mound to face a Rangers lineup that has strung together some good outings lately.
Another interesting series note is that Rangers outfielder Andrew McCutchen will face his longtime team in a series matchup, which he admitted will be a little “weird.”
On Tuesday night, Rangers fans will have the chance to snag a fun giveaway as the first 10,000 fans will receive an Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez baseball card bobblehead.
Following the Pirates series, the Rangers will welcome their AL West rival, the Athletics, to town for a series that will no doubt etch itself into franchise history.
That is because Friday night marks the first time the Rangers' new City Connect uniforms will be worn on the field.
Once again, it is a bobblehead night as the first 10,000 fans on Friday will take home a Nathan Eovaldi City Connect bobblehead.
To wrap up the homestand, it will be an always-popular showdown with the New York Yankees, who will make their annual appearance at Globe Life Field beginning next week.
Monday and Tuesday of that series will be 7:05 games before a Wednesday afternoon series finale.
There’s no doubt this homestand will be an opportunity for the Rangers to build some momentum at home as they enter it with an 11-11 record.
Monday’s off day will certainly come in handy for a Rangers bullpen that was put through the wringer on the team’s recent road trip.
Texas will look for its starting pitching to give it some longer starts on the homestand and, most importantly, help it to wins.
