On Saturday night, the Texas Rangers will be back in action at Dodger Stadium against the Los Angeles Dodgers, looking to even up the series.
The Texas Rangers battled the back-to-back defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers to the final pitch on Friday night before eventually falling on a walk-off home run off the bat of Max Muncy in the bottom of the ninth inning, marking his third home run of the game.
On Saturday night, the Rangers will be back in action at Dodger Staduim looking to even up the series with a win.
First pitch is scheduled for 8:10 PM CST, one hour earlier than the 9:10 PM CST start on Friday night.
Fans can tune into the game on Rangers Sports Network (in market) and MLB TV (out of market), and a radio broadcast is available on 105.3 The Fan inside the DFW area.
Jack Leiter will take the mound for the Rangers to make his third start of the 2026 season. In his last start on Easter Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds, Leiter went five innings while allowing just one run.
Back on March 30th, Leiter made his season debut, earning his first win after going six innings, allowing just two runs in an eventual 5-2 Rangers win over the Baltimore Orioles.
Leiter will now have his sights set on the best lineup in Major League Baseball in an early-season test for the Rangers' young flamethrower.
The Rangers hitters will face Dodgers starter Emmet Sheehan, who enters play 1-0 with an ERA of 8.00 in a pair of starts.
Sheehan has allowed four earned runs in both of his starts in 2026, but the Dodgers have rallied to win both of them.
Whatever the Rangers do offensively tonight, they will likely have to do it without star outfielder Wyatt Langford.
On Friday night, Langford left the game with a quad injury after hitting his first home run of the season.
Langford is expected to undergo an MRI, where the Rangers will determine the fate of one of their best players.
It’ll be interesting to see what first-year Rangers manager Skip Schumaker does in left field after Ezequiel Duran came on for Langford on Friday and had the game-tying base hit in the ninth inning to cap off a three-run Rangers rally.
Josh Jung also came up with a huge hit in the ninth inning, and the Rangers hope that could springboard him to some offensive success after a slow start to his season.
Texas will undoubtedly hope that Friday’s ninth-inning rally can translate into Saturday night and help the team put up enough runs to even the series.
