As things stand on Monday’s off day, the Rangers have won three straight series for the first time in the 2026 campaign and have won seven of their last nine games.

Beginning on Tuesday night, the Rangers will open a three-game set with the Kansas City Royals.
Just a week ago, the Rangers finished off a three-game sweep of the Royals at Globe Life Field, outscoring Kansas City 22-10.
In that series, Rangers starters MacKenzie Gore, Jack Leiter, and Kumar Rocker each did not allow a run in their respective outings.
Gore and Leiter are both scheduled to pitch in games two and three of the series, respectively, following Nathan Eovaldi, who is slated to get the opener.
Since being swept by the Rangers in Arlington, the Royals have won five of their last seven games, claiming series wins against the Cincinnati Reds and the Minnesota Twins.
However, Kansas City may end up without one of the best players in franchise history as the Rangers come to town.
In Sunday afternoon’s 6-5 win over the Twins, Royals superstar shortstop and DFW native Bobby Witt Jr. left the game early with knee soreness.
After the game, Royals manager Matt Quatraro said the issue had built up over time and that Witt would be reevaluated.
There’s no doubt that if Witt is unable to play, the Rangers will have a major threat on both sides of the baseball that they won’t have to worry about.
Following their trip to Kansas City, the Rangers will head east to Boston for a three-game showdown with the Boston Red Sox.
The Red Sox haven’t done much to right their early-season wrongs as they sit in last place in the AL East with a 27-36 record.
Boston has struggled mightily at the iconic Fenway Park, having won just 10 of their 31 games there.
Undoubtedly, the Rangers have a massive opportunity in front of them on the road trip as they will take on a pair of struggling teams at a time when they are as hot as they’ve been all season long.
With a successful trip, the Rangers could return home to Arlington above .500 and possibly even in first place in the American League West.
