On Tuesday night, the Texas Rangers will welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates into town to kick off a three-game interleague showdown.

Alas, the Texas Rangers are finally back at Globe Life Field after a week and a half on the road and playing just six of their first 22 games at home.

On Tuesday night, the Rangers will welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates into town to kick off a three-game interleague showdown.

Fans can tune into the game on the Rangers Sports Network on the TV side of things and on 105.3 The Fan on the radio. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM CST.

Those attending tonight’s game at Globe Life Field have the opportunity to purchase a special theme night ticket and receive a “Free And Easy Cap” as the Rangers are partnering with streetwear brand Free And Easy for tonight’s theme night.

Expected to take the mound for the Rangers is young right-hander Kumar Rocker, who is set to make his fourth start of the season.

In his three previous starts, Rocker is 0-1 with a 4.30 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings pitched.

Last time out was a short one for Rocker as he went just 4 2/3 innings, allowing four hits and two runs, last week against the Athletics.

A longer outing from Rocker would certinally be welcomed as the Rangers and their bullpen as Texas begins a stretch of nine games in nine days.

On the recent road trip, the Rangers' bullpen was called on a lot, but after Monday’s off day, it should be reset.

Still, the Rangers and first-year manager Skip Schumaker will want to find ways to limit their usage throughout this busy stretch.

Tuesday night’s game marks just the seventh time the Rangers will take the field in front of their home fans this season.

Undoubtedly, this home stand will be an opportunity to build some momentum at home, something they have not had the chance to do.

Rangers hitters will not have to face Pirates superstar Paul Skenes tonight or at all during this series.

Pirates RHP Carmen Mlodzinski is expected to take the mound on Monday night, and he enters play coming off a very strong start to the season.

Entering play on Monday, Mlodzinski has appeared in four games (three starts), posting a very strong 1.77 ERA in 20 1/3 innings pitched.

The Rangers' offense will look to get to Mlodzinski and set the tone for the game, series, and homestand.
