The Texas Rangers are set to open a three-game series with the Los Angeles Angels on Friday night at Globe Life Field.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m., with parking lots slated to open at 4:30, followed by ballpark gates at 5:00 p.m.
The first 10,000 fans inside Globe Life Field will receive a free Block Captain Bobblehead presented by Globe Life.
In honor of Dude Perfect night, Fans who purchase a theme night ticket to Friday night's game through the Rangers' official website will receive a co-branded Dude Perfect—Texas Rangers jersey, available for pickup at the Northwest entrance. Dude Perfect will also be on hand to throw out the first pitch.
To kick off the weekend in which the Rangers will honor the 1996 American League West-winning team, both Dean Palmer and Mickey Tettleton will sign autographs for the first 200 fans in line at the New Era Alumni Alley stand located on the Upper Concourse behind Section 223 beginning at 5:15 p.m.
Additionally, the 2023 World Series trophy will be on display and available for photo opportunities behind Section 117 before the game.
Those not planning on heading out to the Globe will have a different way of tuning into the game, as Friday night will be an Apple TV exclusive broadcast. 105.3 The Fan will still have all the action on the radio side of things.
When the action on the field gets underway, MacKenzie Gore will take the mound for the Rangers to make his 27th start of the season. Gore comes into play with a 7-9 record, a 4.45 ERA, a 1.26 WHIP, and 154 strikeouts in 139.2 innings. In his last start against the Athletics, Gore went 5.2 innings, allowing just three earned runs.
On the other side of the ball, Texas will be tasked with facing Los Angeles left-hander Reid Detmers. In 26 starts this season, Detmers is 4-8 with a 3.78 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP, and 167 strikeouts in 143 innings.
The Rangers have won both of their two games against left-handed starters on this homestand despite struggling with lefties for a fair share of this season.
Despite being in last place, Los Angeles has given Texas its fair share of troubles this season. Entering this weekend’s series, the Rangers are just 3-7 against the Angels this year.
