Last week, the Texas Rangers announced “Winter Warmup Week,” a series of pop-up events at select DFW Kroger locations, where fans will have the opportunity to meet Rangers players before they head to Surprise, Arizona, to begin Spring Training.
On Wednesday morning, the Rangers revealed the locations and which players would be taking part in the events.
The specific Kroger locations will be announced on the Rangers' social media channels and website, the morning of each event; however, we now know which players will be in which cities.
Next Monday, January 19th, utility man Josh Smith and pitcher Cody Bradford will kick off the event at a Kroger in Dallas.
Tuesday the 20th, corner infielders Josh Jung and Jake Burger will be greeting fans at a location in Argyle.
One week from today, on Wednesday the 21st, Evan Carter, Robert Garcia, and Jacob Latz will be in Prosper.
Friday the 23rd, fans will have two opportunities to meet some of their favorite players across a pair of locations.
Jake Burger will make his second appearance on the tour in Fort Worth and will be joined by star pitcher Nathan Eovaldi.
On the same day in Lewisville, it’ll be a Vandy Boys meet and greet as Jake Leiter and Kumar Rocker will be joined by Michael Helman to greet fans.
Sunday, the 25th, will be a big day for Rangers fans as they get the chance to meet new Rangers outfielder Brandon Nimmo in Fort Worth to wrap up the tour.
Autographs will not be permitted at these events, as they will just be photo opportunities with the players, and schedules and appearances are subject to change.
Fans seeking autographs will be able to do so at the Rangers 2026 Fan Fest on Saturday, January 24th, at Globe Life Field.
As for Winter Warmup week, this will be the first time the Rangers have featured an event like this, as it will replace the longtime Winter Caravan event.
It will be interesting to see next off-season if the Rangers stick with Winter Warm-up or switch back to the traditional caravan style.
The Rangers will open Spring Training in Arizona in just under a month, with the first exhibition game set for February 20th against the Kansas City Royals.
Just over a month later, the Rangers will be in Philadelphia for Opening Day on March 26th and play their home opener on April 3rd against the Reds.
