
Sunday Night Baseball will have a new home in 2026, following the new MLB media rights deal, which has moved the exclusive end-of-week game from ESPN to NBC and Peacock.
The Texas Rangers will be featured three times on Sunday Night Baseball in 2026, all of which are road games.
On May 3rd, the Rangers will play in Detroit against the Tigers, marking their first appearance on NBC.
Just a few weeks later, on May 24th, it’ll be a division rivalry as the Rangers wrap up a series in Anaheim against the Angels on Sunday Night Baseball.
Finally, Texas wraps up its 2026 Sunday Night slate in Boston against the Red Sox on June 14th.
Additionally, on July 5th, NBC and Peacock will feature what is called “Star Spangled Sunday” in honor of the 250th birthday of America.
Every game on the MLB slate that day will be broadcast on NBC or Peacock, with the Rangers game against the Tigers being featured on Peacock at 3:00 PM.
NBC and Peacock also have the rights to MLB’s Sunday Leadoff games, but the Rangers will not be featured there in 2026.
The broadcasters that will be joining NBC’s team have not yet been announced,, but rumors have circulated that former Dodgers pitcher and DFW native Clayton Kershaw could potentially be one of them.
MLB’s new media rights deal will see Netflix come into the picture in addition to NBC, as the popular streaming service will have exclusive rights to the Home Run Derby as well as the Field of Dreams game, which will return for the first time since 2022 and see the Twins take on the Phillies.
ESPN will also continue to have certain select exclusive games, marking the 39th consecutive season the network has shown MLB games.
All Rangers games that are not a part of national TV broadcasts can be seen on the Rangers Sports Network (RSN), which will mark its second season in 2026.
