Let’s take a look at three bold predictions for the Rangers 2026 campaign.

The Texas Rangers will open Spring Training in just under a month, as pitchers and catchers will report to Surprise, Arizona.

With still about two months until Opening Day, it’s never too early to start thinking about some interesting things that could happen once the season opens.

Let’s take a look at three bold predictions for the Rangers 2026 campaign.

1) Wyatt Langford has a 30/30 season - Last season, Langford only played in 134 games and amounted to 22 home runs and 22 stolen bases.

Having the rare combo of power and speed, there’s no doubt Langford could climb up to 30/30 if he can stay healthy.

In just two seasons, Langford has already established himself as the Rangers second-best position player, and a breakout year in 2026 will go a long way in helping the Texas offense rebound and put the team back in the postseason for the first time since they won it all in 2023.

2) Corey Seager finishes as an MVP finalist - Most often, the only thing that stands in Corey Seager’s way is health.

Last season, Seager played in just 102 games, hitting .271 with a .373 on-base percentage, a .487 slugging percentage with 21 home runs and 50 RBI to go along with it.

2025 marked the first season of Seager’s now four-year Rangers tenure in which he was not named an all-star and did not hit at least 30 home runs.

There’s no doubt that Seager is in for a bounce-back year in 2026, as once again he will have to be at the center of the Rangers successes.

However, given his track record and the type of hitter he is when he’s locked in, I don’t think anyone would be surprised to see Seager regain his status amongst baseball’s best players.

3) Jack Leiter makes the All-Star team - Most certainly, the boldest out of all the bold takes would require Leiter to make an exponential second-year leap.

Last season, the Rangers finally saw signs of the player they drafted second overall in 2021, as Leiter finished with a 3.86 ERA.

When looking at the roster, Leiter is certainly at or near the top of breakout candidates for the Rangers in 2026.

Making the All-Star team would require a fast start for Leiter, but even if he doesn’t quite reach that mark, a strong season would be a massive help for a Rangers starting staff that enters with some question marks after last year’s historic run.
