The Tampa Bay Rays suffered their second straight heartbreaking loss after falling to the Baltimore Orioles 9-7 in 13 innings on Memorial Day. Despite another dominant outing from Shane McClanahan and a big night from Jonathan Aranda, defensive mistakes and bullpen struggles doomed Tampa Bay.

For the second straight game, the Tampa Bay Rays have lost due to a walk-off home run.

After losing Sunday's contest to the New York Yankees after Aaron Judge took the Rays deep in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Baltimore Orioles did the same in extra innings as Colton Cowser put Tampa Bay away in the series opener in Camden Yards.

The Rays fell 9-7 in 13 innings on Memorial Day. The team continued to put up runs in extras, but couldn't stop Baltimore from doing the same.

Shane McClanahan got the start on Monday and continues to show his dominance in his resurgence since returning from injury. McClanahan went 5.1 innings of scoreless baseball before handing it off to the bullpen.
