Week 2 of the Arizona Fall League wrapped up Saturday night, and it was a weird week for the Mesa Solar Sox and eight Boston Red Sox prospects, as two games were postponed early in the week, limiting them to just four games.

It’s been a rough go for the Solar Sox in the standings as they enter the third week of play in fifth place in the AFL with a 4-6 record.

Here’s what you need to know about how the Red Sox prospects performed at the plate over the last week:

Antonio Anderson

One of the stars of the first week of Fall League action, Anderson continued his strong performance at the plate. Anderson appeared in three of Mesa’s four games during the week, going 3-for-10 with a pair of doubles and two RBI, walking three times and striking out five times.

Overall, Anderson is hitting .345/.486/.655/1.141 with two home runs, three doubles, and driving in nine runs in eight games. The 21-year-old ranks in the top 10 among all AFL hitters in batting average (10th), on-base percentage (8th), slugging percentage (3rd), and OPS (4th).

A third-round selection in the 2023 MLB Draft, Anderson appeared in 85 games with the High-A Greenville Drive. The 21-year-old corner infielder hit .273/.373/.453/.826 with nine home runs, 17 doubles, and 46 RBI.

Mason White

The highest-ranked prospect the Red Sox sent to the AFL, White has struggled over the first two weeks of Fall League play. Boston’s No. 27-ranked prospect appeared in three games for Mesa, going 2-for-11 with four strikeouts, two walks, and one run. Overall, White is hitting just .172/.333/.276/.609 with one home run and one RBI.

The Red Sox selected White in the fourth round of the 2025 MLB Draft out of the University of Arizona. In 101 games with High-A Greenville and Double-A Portland, White hit .251/.353/.480/.833, with 18 home runs, 18 doubles, and 55 runs driven in.

Nazzan Zanetello

In what might be his final chance to regain his prospect value, the former second-round pick has struggled in the first two weeks of Fall League action. The 21-year-old shortstop appeared in two games over the last week, going 0-for-5 with a pair of RBI. In six games with the Solar Sox, Zanetello is hitting .200/.385/.450/.835 with one home run and one triple, driving in two runs.

A 2023 second-round pick, Zanetello missed much of the minor league season with an injury. Zanetello appeared in 31 games for Greenville, hitting .234/.331/.468/.799 with six home runs, six doubles, and 13 RBI.

Mesa returns to action Monday afternoon to kick off the third week of play in the Arizona Fall League, taking on the Surprise Saguaros.
