Reds stars Elly De La Cruz and Hunter Greene continue to move up the top 100 player list.

Cincinnati Reds stars Hunter Greene and Elly De La Cruz are continuing to receive more recognition, as they are both ranked within MLB Network's top 60 players on the top 100 list. De La Cruz checks in at No. 52 overall, while Greene is No. 45 overall.

Greene has established himself as one of the better starting pitchers in the game. The same can be said for De La Cruz at shortstop.

Hunter Greene

Greene, 26, is a big six-foot-five right-handed pitcher who made his first All-Star team in 2024. He was limited to only 19 starts in 2025, but he enjoyed another good season. In fact, his 2024 and 2025 campaigns were quite similar aside from the fewer '25 outings, as he finished with a 2.75 ERA in 2024 and a 2.76 2025 ERA.

After struggling in his first two big league seasons in 2022 and 2023, it is encouraging to see Greene taking a step forward. He has what it takes to become a true Cy Young caliber hurler. He has already displayed that kind of potential, as Greene finished eighth in NL Cy Young voting in 2024.

If he can stay healthy in 2026, perhaps Greene can earn more serious Cy Young consideration. While he has already become an ace, Greene could have his superstar breakout campaign during the upcoming '26 season.

Elly De La Cruz

At 24 years old, De La Cruz has rapidly become a star in MLB. He was a back-to-back All-Star in 2024 and 2025. In 2024, he led the league in strikeouts with a mark of 218. He struck out just 181 times in 2025 -- still a high mark but an improvement nonetheless.

De La Cruz only stole 37 bases in 2025 after swiping 67 in 2024, but the Reds won't complain about almost 40 stolen bags. He also saw his home run total drop from 25 to 22, but De La Cruz's power potential remains enticing.

He is a candidate to break into the top 50 players next offseason. It wouldn't be shocking to see De La Cruz take a massive jump on this list, as, similarly to Greene, the '26 campaign may end up being his best season yet.

Elly De La Cruz and Hunter Greene will be players worth closely watching throughout 2026. The Reds will need big seasons from both players in order to make another run at the postseason.
