Falter ultimately surrendered seven earned runs in just 2 and 1/3 innings of work. He did not record a strikeout and gave up nine hits and three home runs. The Yankees had no trouble against the southpaw to say the least.
Falter has endured a difficult season. He has appeared in a total of five games, making two starts during that span. Falter has pitched to a 13.97 ERA during that span as well. He has recorded just six strikeouts in his 9 and 2/3 innings.
Falter is hoping to find answers on the mound sooner rather than later. He features potential, but he's clearly trying to get back on track at the moment.
Royals Lose to Yankees on Tuesday
The Yankees took care of business on the road on Tuesday night. Their offense was on top of its game while the pitching handled the rest. Not only did the Royals surrender 15 runs in the defeat, but the Yankees recorded 24 hits.
Falter obviously did not have a good game, but the bullpen was not much better. The team's relievers surrendered six more runs on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, the team's offense only managed to score one run on six total hits in an underwhelming effort.
This was probably one of the worst games the Royals have played so far this year. Kansas City is hoping to move on from the contest as soon as possible.

Kansas City now holds a 22-33 overall record. The Royals are in fourth place in the American League Central standings. They are currently 8.5 games behind the Cleveland Guardians for first place in the division.
The Yankees currently lead their three-game series 2-0. Kansas City is hoping to avoid a series weep on Wednesday, but that will be much easier said than done. The Royals are just 3-7 overall across their past 10 games.
