Where does Bobby Witt Jr. rank within Baseball America's fantasy baseball rankings?

Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt Jr. is one of the best players in all of baseball. The 25-year-old is already a two-time All-Star who has finished within the top four of MVP voting in each of the past two seasons. Witt hits for power and average, can steal bases and plays terrific defense. As a shortstop, Witt has become the Royals superstar of the future. However, how does his production translate to the fantasy baseball world?

His performance is perfect for fantasy baseball. He's a categories league monster given his ability to find success in multiple facets of the game. Witt is great in points leagues as well. For example, the shortstop hit .295/.351/.501 in 2025 to go along with 23 home runs, 47 doubles, 38 stolen bases and an .852 OPS. Those are the kinds of numbers that win fantasy baseball leagues.

Baseball America recently released its top 500 fantasy baseball dynasty player rankings. Witt is ranked third overall. While that's impressive to say the least, he features the ceiling of a No. 1 overall fantasy baseball player. At the moment, Baseball America has Shohei Ohtani and Juan Soto (in that order) ranked ahead of Witt in the rankings.

Ohtani is also a player who does everything in fantasy baseball. Well, he does everything in actual baseball as well given his two-way prowess as a pitcher and a hitter. Offensively, Ohtani's power is elite and he can steal bases at a high level as well. He does not give up batting average for added home run prowess, though, as Ohtani has a career .282 batting average while also hitting 54 home runs in each of the past two seasons.

Soto is another exceptional pure hitter. In the past he did not steal bases like Ohtani and Witt, but that changed in 2025. The New York Mets star stole a league leading 38 bases this past year. He is also one of the best OBP players in the sport, as he led the league last season with a .396 OBP and holds a career .417 mark.

Ohtani and Soto are great players. Witt is not far behind them, however. He is an absolute superstar. Witt is who the Royals are building around for the future. Many fantasy baseball managers in dynasty leagues will look to do the same.
