The New York Yankees will open a three-game series with the Cleveland Guardians Monday night at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET.

The Yankees shared some unfortunate news shortly before game time. Earlier in the day, the club placed reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge on the 10-day Injured List with a right hip strain. Losing Judge is a significant blow to a team that finds itself tied for last place in the American League East, standing at 15-14 entering Monday night's game. The Yankees have lost three straight games, and three straight series. The club dropped three of four in Arlington, Texas to the Rangers over the weekend.

Domingo German (2-2, 5.54 ERA) will try to get the Yankees back in the win column and on the right track when he takes the mound Monday night. Cal Quantrill (1-2, 5.40 ERA) will start for Cleveland.
