Outfielder Harrison Bader only spent 96 games with the Minnesota Twins, but he still enjoyed his time with the ball club in 2025. Bader, who was traded from the Twins to the Philadelphia Phillies during the 2025 season and then signed with the San Francisco Giants this offseason, recently made an appearance on Foul Territory and was asked about his time in Minnesota with the ball club.
"Minnesota was great," Bader said. "It really was. I will tell you, the playing surface is one of the best I've ever played in hands down. The batter's box is fantastic. The batter's eye is fantastic... It was a fantastic playing surface. I loved every second of truly just playing the game there."
Bader later said that he enjoyed playing with Twins star Byron Buxton, who he said is "probably" his favorite player in the sport.
"I wish that organization all the best," Bader added.
Bader is one of the better outfielders in the game. He only spent a brief time in Minnesota, but he clearly appreciated his time with the team.
Before getting traded, Bader hit .258/.339/.439 across 307 plate appearances. Bader actually saw improved results with Philadelphia following the trade, as he slashed .305/.361/.463 in 194 plate appearances. He played a role in the Phillies' postseason run as well.
Nevertheless, Bader still enjoyed playing in Minnesota with the Twins despite his up and down performance. He came in and handled left field duties while also playing some time in center field. The Twins struggled last year -- which led to the mid-season trade -- but the ball club is hoping to get back on track sooner rather than later.
The Twins' Target Field is regarded as one of the better ball parks in MLB. Bader's comments about the stadium only cement that narrative. Many players have echoed similar sentiments about their time at Target Field. It seems to be a favorable place to play.
As for Harrison Bader, he is now set to begin a new journey with a Giants team that may be able to compete for a postseason spot in the National League. The veteran outfielder will attempt to build off his impressive performance to conclude the '25 campaign with the Phillies. Perhaps he will be able to carry his momentum into 2026 and have a big season in San Francisco with the Giants.
With that being said, it seems as if Bader will always be able to look back fondly at his time with the Twins, even though it was a brief tenure.
