AL Central was starting to feel wide open, but Detroit has taken a step forward and is the clear front runner now. 

They added Framber Valdez and Justin Verlander to the starting rotation. Then they brought in for White Sox outfielder Austin Slater for outfield depth. 

New rotation is:

- Tarik Skubal

- Framber Valdez

- Jack Flaherty

- Casey MIze 

- Justin Verlander
