If the Chicago Bears end up moving to Arlington Heights and passing on the opportunity to build in Hammond, Indiana, is it possible that the Chicago White Sox take their place?
There has obviously been a lot of discussion about the White Sox needing a new stadium, and it's something that Justin Ishbia intends to have in place by the time he's the owner. I'm just not sure how realistic it is after losing the South Loop property to the Chicago Fire for the White Sox to build in the city of Chicago.
Indiana is very passionate about bringing in the Bears, but if they fall short, why would they stop there? They could still get many of the same benefits from bringing a professional sports team in town. And they actually could get it more frequently with a baseball team that brings 81 home games to the table like the White Sox would.
