My big takeaway from the White Sox opening day lineup was that Andrew Benintendi is the DH instead of Lenny Sosa. And not because the White Sox added an extra lefty to the lineup, because they ended up putting Everson Pereira in the outfield.

This tells me that the White Sox would prefer to play Pereira than someone like Sosa and will probably be seeing a lot of him for the first few weeks, at least until Kyle Teel comes back from injury.

I'm intrigued to see how that goes. Pereira has never had more than 93 at-bats in a single MLB season. But he's still 24 years old and may be able to get 40 at-bats under his belt by his 25th birthday on April 10th.
