We already knew top White Sox prospects Noah Schultz and Hagan Smith were not going to make the opening day roster. On Saturday, the White Sox sent Schultz to minor league camp and made it official.

Chicago also optioned Tanner McDougal to Triple-A Charlotte, which now rules him out from making the team as well. That's not a real surprise, but there was a part of me that thought it was possible with how good McDougall has been in spring training.
